Well, wow! This was a great experience, and I can’t wait to share it with you all.

I did this photo shoot with Vestige Photography and make-up & hair artist, Lindy Sue, back in 2012, when they visited Australia from the US. These ladies booked a venue, dolled up multiple models, and photographed everyone in this beautiful place.

The problem with writing about this photoshoot now in 2025 is that I can’t remember all the fine details, only the feeling of being grateful to be pampered and photographed by two lovely ladies. As I was only a couple of years experienced in the industry, I had developed my poses and ways of moving in front of the camera, however, I was able to learn so much more during this session. Because I was working with a professional pin-up-specific photographer and a make-up & hair artist who models, too, I truly took on board their advice and truly appreciated what I could learn to take my modelling further.

I only have the one set from this photoshoot session edited and available for previewing. With the other set, I had the same victory rolls with hair down and a black bustier and girdle with black thigh-highs on a 360-degree red pin-cushioned lounge. Can you picture it?

I was lucky enough to be photographed on the second day with Vestige Photography, this time doing my own hair and make-up (basic), and borrowing a designer friend’s vintage car, Kitty D. From memory, it was my first time modelling with a car. Modelling with cars is different and requires being extra responsible and professional while posing for the camera. It is always good to have a conversation with the car owner first, and know what you are allowed and not allowed to do - this is to prevent any damage from occurring.

The location I chose was behind an old factory/shop building in Sydney’s CBD somewhere - it could be an area now demolished and rebuilt, unsure. And although the car was too beautiful to be photographed in a location like that, the juxtaposition worked well, and I still am very much in love with the photographs! Go team!
