Welcome to The Lady Medusa

Let me introduce myself.
My name is Magdalena - born and raised in Sydney, Australia. I still live here.
I never intended to do any modelling. You grow up only seeing the super tall, slender and beautiful, and that’s it.
As an Art Student, and in my mid-teens, I would experiment with make-up, styling and self-photographs (on a timer), and post these on MySpace (oh yes, some of us remember that social platform). It was then that a friend introduced me to a social modelling platform, ModelMayhem. This is where it all truly started…
In 2010, I did my first photoshoot under the alias Missy Maggot (don’t ask) with a female photographer AND another female pinup model. I honestly did not know how it was going to go or what to expect. As someone who loved socialising, I wanted to make sure that everyone was more comfortable working with me (rather than me with them) and that we could create some magic together. This worked. We all enjoyed ourselves, and the outcome was more than expected! I started my first photoshoot with a photographer I got to know and trust, who chose another model perfect to work with, and we all worked professionally together.

I continued to explore pinup modelling - to me, it was creating art, and I truly loved it. After a year in, as I started to feel myself growing in the industry, I rebranded myself with the alias Lady Medusa. Why Lady Medusa? Well, it started while doing a Graphic Project at TAFE, and I created a luxurious, vintage-inspired Tea “Cafe” brand and named it ‘Lady Medusa’. I adored it so much that it became me. I am also second-generation Greek and Lithuanian, and felt it resonated with my heritage more.
And here I am still today, Sydney, Australia’s finest Pinup Model, Lady Medusa.
Some people don’t always have a good first photoshoot experience, and they decide not to continue with it after that. It is disappointing to hear when this happens, because your next photoshoot experience might be the best one you've ever had. In my ‘Little Red Book’, I talk about the process when talking to Photographers before a photoshoot happens to avoid these things, however, I discuss this further in my Model Coaching session *‘Discovering the Red Book’. Sometimes what is spoken online isn’t always the same in person, and there are great ways to keep yourself safe! Contact me to book your session.
*‘Discovering the Red Book’ is currently on hold. I can make an exception if interested.
